I have an associate in Early Childhood Education.
How long have you been a member of the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I’ve worked for Early Learning Indiana and the Brighter Future Solution Center for nearly two years.
What did you do before joining the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I was a director at a licensed childcare ministry.
How many years of experience do you have in early childhood education or social work?
I have more than 30 years in childcare-related services.
What are some of your favorite things about your role?
I enjoy helping providers. They wear many hats in their role and, when they reach out to us for help with something, I try to do everything I can to make their life just a little bit easier.
What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love your work?
A childcare provider recently told me how grateful they are for the kindness and assistance our team always offers when they are in need.
How do you spend your free time?
I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends - especially my five amazing grandchildren.
What was the best advice you ever received?
Never eat yellow snow! But seriously - always treat people the way you want to be treated.
What other interesting facts do you want us to know about you?
I enjoy playing board games, sewing and making crafts when I have time.
