Meet Katrina Crist, Solution Center Representative at the Brighter Futures Solution Center assisting both families and providers around the state. Katrina has been with the Brighter Futures Solution Center for more than three years and assisted thousands of families and their children find care that meets their unique needs.

What education/degrees have you obtained?
I began my career in nursing and accounting before landing in social service in the nonprofit sector.
How long have you been a member of the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I’ve worked for Early Learning Indiana and the Brighter Future Solution Center for more than three years.
What did you do before joining the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I was a Community Navigator and Outreach Coordinator for Connect2Help.
How many years of experience do you have in early childhood education or social work?
I have more than 20 years in childcare-related services.
What are some of your favorite things about your role?
I am passionate about connecting with clients and families to provide education, assess needs, resolve issues, and connect to resources needed. I love to walk educators through how to navigate I-LEAD as well as assist families in finding high-quality childcare.
What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love your work?
Every moment in this position is a reminder of why I love what I do! Every phone call or chat that I answer is an opportunity to help and educate. The amazing feedback and gratitude for the service provided make it all worthwhile.
How do you spend your free time?
I love to travel, am an avid reader, love learning new things and spending time with my husband or spoiling my dogs Charlie & Pete.

Always give more than you expect to receive!
