What education/degrees have you obtained?
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

How long have you been a member of the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
18 months.

What did you do before joining the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I was the director of a pre-K program for 13 years and spent four years on the accounting team for a school picture company.

How many years of experience do you have in early childhood education or social work?
17 years.

What are some of your favorite things about your role?
Connecting with clients, helping them work through issues for I-LEAD or assisting families in finding find high-quality childcare.

What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love your work?
I recently was helping on an outreach project to help a family locate available childcare. They were able to get the very last opening with a specific provider. The parent sent a follow-up email thanking me for the extra effort to help her as she had been searching for several months.

How do you spend your free time?
I love to spend time with my family, watching my daughter's many sports activities, reading and walking with my husband plus our two rescue dogs.

What was the best advice you ever received?
Be present wherever you are in life, never take the gift of today for granted.
