What did you do before joining the Brighter Futures Solution Center?
I worked as a database analyst, phone room supervisor and referral specialist for a variety of community services.
How many years of experience do you have in early childhood education or social work?
15 years.
What are some of your favorite things about your role?
I enjoy being able to help families and early care providers obtain the information and resources they need quickly. I am also able to utilize my past employment experience to help resolve difficult situations.
What was the last moment that caused you to stop and remember why you love your work?
A provider recently called stressed about their I-LEAD account. By the end of the conversation, all of the stress had left their voice and they were grateful to have learned more about how the I-LEAD system works.
How do you spend your free time?
Tinkering with electronics and crafts, drawing and just relaxing.
What was the best advice you ever received?
It's never a lost day if you learn something new.
