Dear Indiana Early Care and Education Providers,

Indiana’s new Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Fund is helping connect families and children to quality child care and summer learning opportunities and rebuilding provider’s enrollment. If you’ve not yet taken the necessary steps to participate in the Build, Learn, Grow program, please do so today.

The program offers scholarships covering up to 80% of a family’s tuition in child care and summer programming for children ages 0-12 from May-October 2021. Families qualify if one adult in the household works in an essential business such as health care, human services, education, retail, restaurant and food service, essential infrastructure, media, manufacturing and logistics, religious and charitable organizations and many others. A full, detailed list can be found here.

For your program to participate and accept scholarships, you need to complete the “Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Fund Information Session” in Indiana Learning Paths. This 30-minute info session will explain the scholarship process, how to determine family eligibility, and the process for submitting a claim for reimbursement to support the children of essential workers in your program.

To get started:
1. Log in or create a free account at ilead.in.gov.
2. Click the green "Start Your Indiana Learning Path" button.
3. Choose "Courses" from the menu on the left-hand side.
4. Search "Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Fund Information Session" to register and start the course.

Remember that early childhood education and out-of-school-time workers are essential businesses, so you and your staff can also apply to receive this scholarship!

Subject: Your Build, Learn, Grow Application Status

Dear Family,

Thank you for submitting your application for a Build, Learn, Grow scholarship. After reviewing your application and income information, we have determined that you qualify for the state’s Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) assistance, which covers 80% of your child care costs. Additionally, through October, your remaining 20% is also waived as part of the state’s Build, Learn, Grow relief to families.

We want to help fast track your CCDF application so that you can receive support as quickly as possible.

Collect the following documents:

Once you’ve collected these documents:

  • Complete the CCDF application at Early Ed Connect and upload your documentation.
  • Let us know when you’ve done so, and we will fill out the provider information page.
  • Once this is completed, schedule an appointment with the local CCDF eligibility office here.
  • At your appointment, if approved, you will receive your CCDF voucher.
