I-LEAD User Types

I LEAD User Types

I-LEAD hosts two primary types of user accounts: provider admins and educators. Each user type has different kinds of access and is responsible for different kinds of tasks. Both user types can use I-LEAD to simplify both essential licensing information and their professional development.

Provider admins are responsible for managing child care and school-age program sites with Indiana FSSA’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) through I-LEAD. Anyone managing a site is a provider admin in the I-LEAD system. The state determines the provider admin via the license applicant on record for a program in the licensing database, known as the Child Care Information System (CCIS). Provider admins from these records receive an invitation to I-LEAD, sent to the provider email listed in CCIS.

Educators are responsible for managing their individual records with Indiana FSSA’s Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) through I-LEAD. Most educators are professionals working within a facility with a background check on record with OECOSL. Qualified caregivers in CCIS will be listed as “associated educators.” For family child care homes, household members are also considered educators in I-LEAD.

Not currently employed in an early learning facility? You can access I-LEAD as a Guest, by visiting the I-LEAD homepage and creating a new account.

If you are employed at an early learning facility that is not recognized by OECOSL, you will also access I-LEAD as a Guest.
